SCCA agreed with my local hospital... the lesion is suspicious... however, they downgraded it to a BI-RADS 4! That is slightly encouraging.
I went up to Seattle yesterday and had an ultrasound-guided core needle biopsy and post-biopsy mammogram. The biopsy site is only mildly tender. Not the worst procedure I've gone through. No shower for 24 hours and steri-strips can come off in 5 days.
I should have results by early next week. I am preparing for the worst, but hoping for the best! Waiting is the hardest part. I hate where my mind takes me... staying positive and hopeful can be really hard.
